Lash Line Enhancement

Lash Line Enhancement is a subtle tattooing technique in which pigment is placed directly along the upper lash line and between the lashes. The result is the illusion of thicker, darker, fuller lashes, giving your eyes soft definition without the look of heavy makeup.

Unlike traditional eyeliner tattoos, which create a bold or winged style, this treatment focuses only on the lash roots for a natural, “barely there” enhancement. It’s perfect for anyone who wants their eyes to look brighter and more defined while keeping the overall appearance soft and timeless.

Your comfort and safety are always the priority. A topical numbing agent keeps the process comfortable, and your eyes remain gently closed and protected throughout the procedure. Most clients experience little to no discomfort.

Lash Line Enhancement is performed only on the upper lash line for the most natural result. We do not offer lower lash line or winged eyeliner styles, as they can appear harsh and compromise the eye’s delicate anatomy.

The service includes a complimentary touch-up at 4–6 weeks to perfect your results. With proper care, your enhancement typically lasts 12–18 months before a maintenance session is needed.

Initial Session – $300
4–8 Week Touch-Up – Complimentary
Annual Lash Line Retouch (12+ Months) – $185

Important Pre-Care

Plan Accordingly

Lash Line Enhancement takes 14 days to fully heal, with colour, texture, and softness changes. Plan your appointment around all special events and vacations, as aftercare restrictions will apply (no sweating, swimming, saunas, or makeup on the eyes for 7–10 days).

Appointment Day & Pre-Care Guidelines

Before reviewing the pre-care, please confirm your eligibility for Permanent Makeup here.

  • Remove all eye makeup the night before your appointment. Please refrain from wearing makeup on the day of your appointment, as removing it the same day of the procedure can irritate the eyes. Arrive with clean, makeup‑free eyes—no eye makeup, mascara, shadow, or concealer.

  • Avoid caffeine (including decaf) and alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment.

  • Wash your hair before your appointment. Keep your eyes dry in the shower for the first week.

  • Do not wear contact lenses; your eyes must remain closed throughout the procedure.

  • Avoid exercise on the day of your appointment to minimize bleeding.

  • Stop taking blood thinners (e.g., Advil, Aspirin, Omega-3/DHA, Vitamin E) 7 days before; Tylenol is acceptable.

  • Stop using Vitamin C, Retin-A, Retinol, and other active skincare products 3 weeks before.

  • Finish any antibiotics at least 2 weeks before your appointment.

  • Avoid Botox or Dysport in the eye area (i.e., crow’s feet, brow lift) for 2 weeks before and after your appointment; allow the Botox to settle before your appointment.

  • Discontinue use of lash growth serums (i.e., Latisse) at least 4 weeks prior. They increase vascularity/sensitivity and cause bleeding, swelling, or poor retention.

  • Remove eyelash extensions 7–10 days before your appointment so the adhesive can fully shed from the follicles. Do not reapply lashes until after your tattoo has fully healed.

  • No lash lift or tint within 2 weeks pre‑appointment. (Best to lift/tint 2-4 weeks before or wait until 2 weeks after healing.)

  • No styes, conjunctivitis (“pink eye”), blepharitis, or active irritation. Reschedule if anything flares up.

Post-Care

Day 0–2

  • Expect light swelling, puffiness, and a feeling of tightness. To reduce puffiness, apply a cold compress (a clean cloth wrapped around a chilled pack) for 5–10 minutes.

  • Keep the lash line dry, except for gentle morning and evening cleansing with sterile water (distilled or cooled, boiled) or saline solution applied with a gauze pad. Do not use soap or micellar water. Pat dry — do not rub.

  • Wait at least 48 hours before wearing contact lenses.

Day 2–7

  • After the first 2 days of cleansing, stop cleaning and keep the lash line completely dry — no water contact at all.

  • Do not apply ointments, creams, or oils to the lash line.

  • Do not rub, scratch, or pick at the treated area, even if it feels itchy or tight.

  • Avoid all eye makeup (mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, concealer) for 7 days.

  • Avoid swimming, saunas, steam rooms, or heavy sweating for 7 days.

Long Term

  • Wait at least 6 weeks before reapplying lash extensions. You may require a touch-up at 4 weeks; you’ll need about 2 weeks to fully heal from that session before applying extensions is safe.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds on the treated area to maintain pigment longevity.

  • Always wash your hands before touching your eyes during the healing phase.

FAQ

  • This treatment is ideal for anyone seeking a subtle eye-defining effect, particularly those with light or sparse lashes. It is not suitable if you are pregnant, nursing, or have certain medical conditions (www.browsbylarissa.com/eligibility).

  • Often yes, but I’ll tailor expectations. Ultra‑bold colour/density is not the goal; natural definition is.

  • No. The pigment sits between the lashes in the skin, not inside the follicles. Poor aftercare or picking can irritate follicles—don’t touch while healing.

  • No eye makeup until flaking ends (~7 days). When you resume, use a new mascara to avoid bacteria.

  • You won't see visible scabbing. The lash line might feel a little dry, and the colour could appear darker at first, then lighten to a softer shade as it heals.

  • Since this treatment works very close to the lash line, it’s best suited for clients who are comfortable having their eyes gently handled. If you feel quite anxious about eye procedures, this service might not be the right choice.
