Pre-Care Requirements

On Appointment Day

Please arrive without skincare, makeup, or numbing products on or around your brow area.

Do not consume caffeine (including decaf coffee, tea, soda, energy drinks, pre-workout supplements, and ginseng). Caffeine increases blood flow and can cause excessive bleeding during the procedure. Excessive bleeding can affect pigment retention, potentially resulting in patchy or uneven healing. Additional sessions for this are not complimentary.

Come to your appointment with clean, freshly washed hair (as you must avoid wetting your brows in the shower during the first week).

Do not wear contact lenses during your appointment. Your eyes must remain closed throughout, as the pigment can splatter, and I must constantly wipe pigment away from your eyelids and surrounding areas.

Avoid exercise on the day of your appointment. Physical activity increases blood flow, which may result in excessive bleeding and impact pigment retention.

Do not take any blood thinners (Advil, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Warfarin, Fish Oils, or Omega-3s) five days before. Tylenol is OK.

Skincare Restrictions

If you're using Vitamin C, Retin-A, Retinol, Tretinoin, Glycolic Acid, AHAs, BHAs, or medical-grade skincare, stop immediately.

⚠️ You must discontinue all active products for a full three weeks before your appointment.

This includes avoiding them on your entire face, not just the brow area — these ingredients travel under the skin and still affect healing.

These products thin the skin and increase sensitivity, which can lead to poor retention, excessive bleeding, scarring, and long-term damage.

General Rule: If a product claims to brighten, resurface, exfoliate, renew, regenerate, or treat acne or aging, it likely contains an active ingredient.

Lifestyle and Health Requirements

You cannot be on antibiotics at the time of your appointment. You must wait two full weeks after your last dose, regardless of the reason, before undergoing cosmetic tattooing.

Do not get Botox or Dysport injections in the forehead/eyebrow area within two weeks before or after your scheduled procedure.

Do not apply numbing cream before your appointment. It affects how the skin responds and compromises the quality of your results. If you arrive with numbing cream on your brows, I will respectfully decline to proceed and require you to reschedule.

You cannot be actively tanned or sunburned at the time of your appointment. Your tan must be entirely faded before tattooing — this includes tans from the sun or tanning beds. Sun-damaged skin heals poorly, leading to uneven results, fading, or a colour change.

Do not consume alcohol 24 hours before your appointment.

What to Know Before You Arrive

⚠️ Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment, as I book back-to-back sessions with no breaks in between. If you arrive early, I may not be able to accommodate you until your scheduled time. We operate in a shared professional space with a limited waiting room.

To help you relax and reduce disruptions, please switch your electronic devices—like Apple Watches and cellphones—to silent or their lowest volume setting.

You’ll lie flat for a while, so I recommend wearing comfortable clothing. You can also bring slippers and headphones to help you feel at ease throughout the appointment.

During your appointment, I focus on providing you with the best possible outcome. Since the brow area is sensitive to movement, I may limit conversation while working to keep the machine steady and ensure clean, precise results.

Brow shaping before your appointment is optional. However, tweezing excess growth in advance is appreciated. If you choose to wax, please do so at least 48 hours before your appointment. Otherwise, I will tweeze and trim during your session (if needed).
